In this episode, host Sarah Morgan is interviewing Thomas Colclough. 

Thomas Colclough began his career with EEOC in 1988. He has held various positions such as Investigator, Enforcement Supervisor, Local Office Director of Greensboro, NC, Local Director of the Richmond, Va. Office and Area Director of the Raleigh Area Office. 

A native of North Carolina, Thomas attended Saint Augustine’s College in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He earned his master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He also earned a Certificate in Global Studies from UNCG.

Mr. Colclough served in the military for 23 years (active and reserve). In 2005, Colclough retired from the North Carolina National Guard at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is also a graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College.

Thomas currently serves as the Director of Field Management Programs for the EEOC Charlotte District.  In this role, he is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operations of Field Offices by providing operational oversight and monitoring of program implementation and coordination of administrative services.  Thomas identifies problem areas and appropriate corrective actions. The above responsibilities, including direct supervision of the EEOC’s District Directors, are performed for 15 Districts and one Field Office.

In 2019, Thomas was appointed to the Caucus on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys.  The bipartisan, 19-member Commission will include congressional lawmakers, executive branch appointees, issue experts, activists, and other stakeholders who will examine social disparities affecting black men and boys in America. Based on its findings, the commission will issue policy recommendations to Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. The bipartisan commission, founded and co-chaired by thee Congresswoman Fredricka Wilson of FL, will craft legislation to implement those recommendations.
